Fashion Link Up + Beautiful Day at Berkeley Marina in a Striped Maxi Dress

Link-Up
Yayyy, it's another link up! More information and link up below.

About the Outfit
Yes, spring is here. It was a beautiful day so what better place to be then by the water. It was sooo gorgeous being at the Marina. I was looking for something both cute and comfortable and can accross this dress in my closet. I almost forgot I had it. I love a maxi and think this kind of tank maxi is the perfect easy piece to throw on for spring and summer. Added the pink for a lil pop of color and voila! :-)

Thought I would throw on a pair of wedges just to see what the look would look like a lil dressed up.

Mahogany Closet Mondays Fashion Link Up +Turquoise Blue Lace Covered Dress

Link-Up
Yayyy, it's another link up! More information and link up below.

About the Outfit

I love this little dress. It's both cute and comfy. I actually wore this outfit for Valentine's Day but didn't really get a chance to take any good pictures. So I put it on again to take some pictures and go  hang out with the girls. The bright color makes me really feel like spring. The weather has been so nice at times here in California that I often forget that it is still winter. Loving the weather but the down side of that is we are in a major drought and could actually use some rain. How is the weather where you live?

Multi-color Aztec Print Skirt

Multi-color Aztec Print Skirt DIY clutch Mirror Aviator sunglasses

Keeping the Aztec print theme from earlier this week I decided to wear this multi-color Aztec print midi length skirt. I feel like this is my Kim Kardashion inspired kind of look. You know how she often wears the midi length bodycon pencil skirt and and fitted top. I never really thought I could pull this look off, but thank god for the right shapewear. LOL

This is also my super budget friendly look. This outfit cost me $25 (not including the clutch which was a DIY project). I found the skirt at Ross for $8.99. The shoes at a thrift store for $5. I got the tank top at Old Navy a long time ago for like $8 and the sunglasses on Ebay for $2.99. The materials for the clutch probably cost me around $15.

Fashion Link Up + Black & White Aztec Print Open Front Cardigan & DIY No Sew Clutch

Black and White Aztec Print Open Front Cardigan Red Skinny Jeans

Link-Up
Yayyy, it's another link up! More information and link up below.

About the Outfit
I took my kids to a Chinese New Years celebration in Emery Bay, which is a out door shopping center, and while they were waiting in line to get their face painted I decided to walk through Old Navy just to see what they have and kill some time. I should have known that was going to mean I would be walking out with something; I'm not very good at window shopping. I was perusing the sales section and came across this sweater and just feel in love. It's actually a size XXL but because of the shape and style I still love how it fits. It's not like I was in need of a black and white open front cardigan. You might remember I wore another one here with these sames pants in blue. But it was gorgeous and I wanted it. I wear it all the time now, so it was still a good buy.

This clutch I am really excited about because I made it. I have a whole bunch of DIY ideas that I want to try, but I never get around to getting all the materials and taking the time out to do it. So I am so proud of myself for completing this, Yayy! I watched a bunch of Youtube videos, put some ideas together and had to tweak it a little. I don't have a working sewing machine at the moment (and don't really know how to sew well) so this is the no sew version. I'm really proud of the finished results and it's also become one of my favorite clutches at the moment. What do you guys think?

Mahogany Closet Mondays Fashion Link Up + Yellow Floral Dress and Blue Strappy Heels

Link-Up
Yayyy, it's another link up! Please scroll to the bottom of the page for information and to link up.

About the Outfit

I love how these colors combine. I like to put together color combinations that you don't always see. I am thinking about doing a series on how to create interesting color combos. From the first time that I saw this dress I knew I wanted to wear it with with these blue strappy heels I had picked up at a consignment store. At the last minute at added the green purse and I really liked how it all went together. I wore this out to a UNCF charity event that my friend was throwing. Check out a couple pictures from the event below.
