LWD + Giveaway +Mahogany Closet Mondays Fashion Link Up

plus size fashion bloggers, ASOS off shoulder white knee length dress, black and white polka dot shoes, Verity Justfab Shoes, hounds tooth DIY Clutch,

I got this LWD, little white dress on sale at ASOS.com. Thought it was the perfect opportunity to rock my black and white polka dot strappy heels (I wore the snake skin version in this post) and this black and white houndstooth print clutch I made. Both I have had for a little while now, I think they are so cute, but just haven't had the opportunity to wear them yet. Plus, I usually try to keep one or two cute white dresses in my closet just in case there is a white party. There is usually at least one white theme party a year I attend. And it is always seems so hard to find a white outfit when you actually need one. So "if you stay ready, you ain't got to get ready". :-)

Bedget outfit alert - Dress was $20 (now down to $14). Shoes $20 has part of the sales they always offer new customers. And purse I made. I probably spent about $10 on additional fabric and also used other materials I already had. So altogether this is about a $50 outfit.

Too Blessed to Be Stressed + Mahogany Closet Mondays Fashion Link Up

ASOS off shoulder polka dot dress, yellow strappy heels, Plus size bloggers

There is so much going on in my life right now. My dad has been home from rehab after his stroke for about 3 weeks and then on Thursday he suffered a seizure. It was one of the scariest thing I have experienced. He was literally shaking and seizing in my arms. I didn't know what was happening. I thought he was dying before my eyes. But apparently seizures look worse then they really are for the body. And three day later, on Sunday night he was able to come home from the hospital. So that is really exciting, but at the same time he still requires a lot of help. He is still recovering from his stroke and now he is epileptic, so he has to take medicine for the rest of his life to prevent seizures. And as his main care provider it can be really tiring. Also with the school year starting up, am starting back at work too. So figuring out how we can get care givers and help for him for when I am at work is another struggle. But with all that happening I still feel really blessed. I feel like regardless of what is going on in your life there is always room to smile. Happiness is a choice and I absolutely choose it. I choose happiness and I choose joy!!!

About the outfit: If you have followed this blog the you know I love a good deal and this outfit is not exception. This dress I found on sale at ASOS for $20 (I think it is on sale for $16 now), the shoes were $16.02 and you can't really see the earrings in these pictures but I got them for only $1, so the whole outfit was under $40. That's a great bargain in my book!

Visiting Napa Valley - #TBT

Louis-Vuitton-clutch-handbag, Justfab-Sheer-bottom-dress, Life-Style-Bloggers,Wine-Tasting

For my birthday in June my honey took me to Napa Valley, CA. I hadn't got a chance to post it so I thought I would add it in as a Throw Back Thursday post #TBT. The plan was to go get a couples massage and spa treatment. at Mai Oui Massage and Spa Cottage. We figure while we were out there why not get some wine tasting in, it is wine country. First stop on the trip was Sutter Homes Wineries

Sutter Homes Winery

This was the first stop on our trip. If you think you know everything there is to know about Sutter Homes or you have tried everything they have to offer, you really don't until you visit them in Napa. I was very happy with our visit. First, it is one of the few wineries in Napa Valley that still off free wine tasting. You can choose between either the Sweets flight or the Dry flight or they have a premium flight that you can taste for $5. We opted for the complimentary Sweet flight. At the winery they offer  Reserved, small batch wines that they don't sell in stores and you can only buy it from them from their Napa Winery. I am typically not a big Sutter Homes fan, but I really enjoyed the wines that we tasted there. So much so we took a yummy port home and joined their wine club. As a member we can also taste at the winery Menage a Trois for free and get a discount on their wines as well.

Castello di Amorosa

Castle-Winery-Napa, Wine-tasting, Winery, Vineyard, Napa-Valley, Life-style-Bloggers

We also stopped by Castello di Amorosa. It's a winery that has been built in the shape of a castle. They grounds are very beautiful. We paid the basic general admission price of $20 that includes a basic wine tasting and being able to walk around part of the grounds. I believe you have to pay for a tour to be able to have access and see certain areas of the castle. The tasting room was pretty crowded. We had to walk around a little until we saw another couple leaving and slipped into their spot. The staff was awesome. Our wine steward was from Italy and spoke 4 different languages. He and the other steward next to him were super funny and engaging, making jokes and having everyone laughing. In terms of customer service, they did the best they could considering how business it was. He asked questions about what types of wines we like and from there served us according to our likes. To me, the wines were just okay. I don't know if I would go again, but if you have never been I would definitely suggest that you go for the experience of it all.

Here are some pictures from out day ...
