Doug E Fresh Concert Fun + Mahogany Closet Mondapys Fashion Link U

If you follow me on Instagram then you know that Thursday I went to see Doug E Fresh in concert. The show was at a night club/lougne in Oakland, CA called Venue and was in celebration of the

rapper Mistah F.A.B.'s birthday. So when my big sis Kim called me and told me she was covering the event for you show The Kim Caldwell Show and asked me if I wanted to go, I said heck yes!! :-) The concert was AMAZING!!! The event was all in homage to old skool Hip Hop. Many people dressed up in late '80's, early '90's street wear, including Mistah F.A.B. who donned a Fila sweatsuit and Kangol hat (I can't remember the last time I've seen a Fila sweatsuit). There was lots of Adidas, over sized gold chains and bright colors. Hip Hop Tv was on the scene covering the event and like I mentioned earlier Doug E Fresh put on a fabulous show. He rapped, he danced (doing the original "dougie" seeing as the songs and dance style was named after him ) and of course he beatboxed. It was a pretty small venue which standing room so we made our toward the stage right before the performance started and had the perfect location for the show right in the front. After the concert was over we got a chance to go back stage and talk with and meet Doug E Fresh. He was super sweet and kind. All and all it was just a great night.
